Like many, I was super excited when Saie Beauty announced they were launching their first-ever foundation. Admittedly, the only product I’ve ever tried from Saie was their mascara. Which, I really do like. However, I’ve always wanted to try more from the brand. With that in mind, I purchased almost every product they have available. And for the past few weeks, I have been solely wearing Saie Beauty! And the Saie Beauty foundation is unlike many I’ve tried. With it being more skincare than makeup.
Is Saie Beauty Cruelty-Free?
Laney Crowell founded Saie Beauty as she felt clean makeup was missing from the beauty market that contained safe and good-for-you ingredients. Launched in 2019 Saie Beauty is cruelty-free and leaping-bunny certified. Not only are they leaping-bunny certified, but like my favorite skincare brand Necessaire, they’re also certified with 1% for the Planet, they are climate neutral certified, and lastly they are also certified plastic negative. So they’re a pretty great brand to support! But how does their first-ever foundation perform?
Saie Glowy Super Skin Foundation Review
The Saie Glowy Super Skin foundation is a serum foundation that is 85% skincare and 15% weightless pigment. The claims for the Saie Beauty Glowy Super Skin foundation are medium buildable coverage, luminous finish, and hydrating. They use their proprietary hydrobounce complex for skin-improving benefits, the serum foundation is rich in antioxidants to brighten the skin and is lightweight, and absorbs quickly into the skin to lock in moisture.

Saie Foundation Review
Firstly, let’s talk about the shade range. The foundation comes in 36 beautiful shades. My shade match was shade 7, however, while it’s a good match I could’ve gone up a couple of shades (perhaps shade 9 or 10) with the weather getting warmer! Similar to my Makeup by Mario foundation I prep my skin with a light layer of moisturizer. As for SPF, I’ve been using and loving the Naturium Dew Glow. It’s not too glowy and gives the right amount of hydration.
Saie suggests shaking the foundation before every use. Because it is more skincare ingredients than makeup you’ll see the separation of product regardless if you use it every day or not. So, I highly recommend shaking the foundation before every use to get the best wear.
I use the suggested 1/2 pump and it was more than enough for my whole face. I did build it up by adding another half pump on my first use and the coverage is medium. When using it with the foundation brush, I found the results pretty great. It’s a beautiful streak-free finish. Using pressing motions to push the product into the skin; it blends beautifully. But do you need the foundation brush? It’s nice, but any brush will work just fine. I’ve used my go-to foundation brush and the results are just as good.
As I have said, I’ve been using this for a while now and it has been my go-to. The finish is luminous yet skin-like and what impressed me the most? It hardly settled into any fine lines. That’s right! If you have fine lines this won’t settle into them as much as some others can. I’ve worn this for 8-10hr days and am always impressed with how well it lasts throughout the day!
Who Is The Saie Glowy Super Skin Foundation For & Where To Buy?
Because it’s not as super-glowy as the Makeup By Mario foundation I think even oily skin people may enjoy this one. If you have dry skin, like me, ensure there are no dry spots. As it will cling to those dry spots. And if you have sensitive skin this did not cause any irritation or breakouts. And it’s been my daily pick!
