I love decorating my home for the appropriate season. Especially Winter! As much as I am not a fan of the cold and brutal storms, it sure is beautiful! 7 Simple Ideas For A Winter Cozy Home!

How To Decorate For Winter NOT Christmas
Usually, when decorating for Winter it coincides with the holidays/Christmas. Naturally, one’s first thought is adding lots of reds & greens primarily into their home to add for the festive season. But if one doesn’t celebrate, or quite frankly prefers not to decorate for the holidays (celebrating or not) there are simple ways to do so! In short, keep it simple, add neutral colors, add textures and layers of throw blankets and pillows, and add a hint of greenery.
How To Make Your Home Cozy For Winter
1. Scented Candles
Bring in the scents of the woodsy, cold outdoors indoors! Look no further than scented candles to cozy up your home! Get the notes of cold woody mountain air with a Pine Tree candle.

2. Rustic Decor {Wood Accents}
One thing I love is the rustic look in a home! There’s something comforting about it. You don’t have to go out and buy a new piece of furniture, put it in the little details. Such as wood picture frames, or these lovely rustic vases.
3. Neutral Colors
The Winter is all about neutrals. Think of shades of gray, white, and brown. And if you’re looking to spruce up your living room with neutral furniture you can add a cover on your couch instead of replacing it. Adding accent pieces such as throw pillows is a great way of adding a hint of a neutral palette.

4. Throw Blankets & Pillows
Because what’s cozier than blankets and some comfy pillows? Not only are the blankets ultra soft but they keep you warm and add texture to your existing furniture.
Pine Cones
Nothing like pine cones to spruce up your home! And give it that perfect winter feel!

Twinkle Lights
It doesn’t get any cozier than adding some string lights, does it? Bring the winter cozy vibes into your home with some twinkle lights. Add them to a fire mantel, hang them out on your windows or ceilings, or place them in mason jars for some cozy night lights.
Faux Greenery
Adding a bit of faux greenery to the neutral-toned palette adds a bit of life to your space. It livens up the area without being too much!
To conclude, it’s simple to create a winter cozy home that is perfect for the season! You don’t have to go out and buy new furniture you can simply add couch covers to your existing couches. It is mainly in the decor and the little details that give your space the cozy feel you desire! How do you love to bring in the cozy vibes during Winter?
